Music To Sweat By #1
18 July 2006 in Music, The QuestOn Scott’s request I am posting my workout playlist for all of you would be runners. The mix starts off pretty hard and heavy but the payoff is in the cool down. The songs were chosen for tempo and/or motivational lyrics. It’s a little too hip-hop heavy for everyday listening (Note: not kid friendly) but it has gotten the job done thus far.
Jesus Walks by Kanye West
Ain’t No Other Man by Christina Aguilera

Let Me Entertain You by Robbie Williams
Dirt off Your Shoulders by Jay-Z

Thanks. I have to agree hip hop is very suited for working out.
Excellent! You’ve given me some more ideas for my workout playlist. Here’s a few more that are good for working out:
Since U Been Gone (Jason Nevins Radio Edit) – Kelly Clarkson (GREAT up-tempo beat!)
Heavy – Collective Soul (my “gentle” reminder to keep walking/running!)
Vertigo – U2
Lose My Breath – Destiny’s Child (the title – how appropriate!)
Pon de Replay (Radio Edit) -Rihanna
(I actually went to the gym today…thanks for your inspiration!)
Sarah-
Great picks. I remember the first time I heard “Heavy.” One of the guys I was with told me that the singer wrote it for his overweight gf. I still laugh when I hear it!
